Wir gingen an einem Samstag Abend mit 6 Personen ins "Uhrmacher" essen und waren so ziemlich die einzigen Gäste ( .. schon ein bißchen erstaunlich, lag aber vielleicht an Pfingsten). The cook is really gifted and very good. However, service and ambience leave much to be desired. Even if employees work in front of the restaurant, read newspaper, it doesn't make a good impression on me. I also feel the toilets and the way there as questionable. I can't recommend watchmaker's restaurant! After regular visits to this upscale restaurant follow no more! We wanted to celebrate the doctor's anniversary there at lunchtime and were unfortunately very disappointed. Order: Spagetti with tomato sauce for our son (4, a asparagus soup, twice asparagus once with ham, naturally cooked for pregnancy in the 8th month and once with carving. Three times apple choir Price: 62, € Pros: The ambience was well maintained and clean. The tables are covered professionally. The spagetti tasty negative: the apple choir repeats without sufficient carbonic acid. The Hollandaise came later. The Hollandaise was served with white wine. Chef and Koch were 4min. disappeared in the kitchen! After that: Chef declared Hollandaise with white wine is the basic recipe! Chef's going for dinner, bringing new sauce. Couldn't know about pregnancy. Chef became pampty without a solution proposal or apology. (The appetite and the ceremonial mood has passed us! we left! The invoice of over 62, € is not appropriate for the bid. Due to the serious, gastronomic and technical deficiencies, we cannot provide a recommendation for watchmakers' restaurants. The risk of child welfare (hopefully unconsciously forces us not to succeed in a normally further chance!
I cannot agree with the negative reviews. Well maintained, but special, upscale ambience, combined with excellent cuisine and friendly service, ensure a beautiful and relaxing stay. I always feel very welcome and my special wishes are always fulfilled. Price performance ratio is excellent. And the ingredients as far as I can see this first class.
On 20.08.16 three captains and two sailors were able to meet the restaurant observer after anchoring in the port of Oberwinter. The whole ambience of the Restaurane spoke to us so that we have decided to stay. We were supplied with food and drinks. Excellent service of personnel and management. I cannot recommend the Restaurant des Watchmaker! After regular visits to this upscale restaurant, do not follow anymore! We wanted to celebrate the doctor's anniversary there and were unfortunately very disappointed. Three weeks before we were released, we were invited to the guest room with our four-year-old son, because the food outside gets too cold. The order included: spagetti with tomato sauce for our son, an asparagus soup, twice asparagus with Hollandaise, once with ham, of course for pregnancy in the 8th. Month and once cooked with carving. Three apple choirs. The spagetti were good, the soup was watery and the apple choir as before the last visit without enough carbonic acid. After 45 minutes the asparagus followed, the Hollandaise unfortunately a few minutes later. This Hollandaise was distributed by us on the two asparagus plates, and a spoon was given to our son to try. Our son's comment, but I don't like it funny. Meanwhile, the cook and the cook have received female visits and disappeared behind the closed kitchen door. Funny! Do you escape the guest without asking if everything fits or everything is right? The first fork solved all doubts. The Hollandaise was tastefully prepared with ALKOHOL. A NOGO! I'll explain.
