On arrival there was one table left in this small cafe/ bistro, it Seemed popular with locals. I had the menu du jour, well. Priced at 14.90 for 2 courses. They had sold out of s lot of the plates so I had the melon ham starter and cod in Buerre blanc main washed down with a nice glass of Bordeaux. My companions all had the croque burger, a combination of a croque Monsieur and a burger! They enjoyed it. If I went aga... View all feedback.
What Edgardo Russel doesn't like about Des Lys Cafe':
We enjoyed their sandwiches with a glass of wine. The sandwiches were filling, which was a shame as their desserts looked excellent. They were fairly busy on the Saturday afternoon we were there, but the service was good. There's a nice area outside to eat, but it was too chilly and windy the day we were there. View all feedback.
Dropped into this place early afternoon when we realised we hadn't had any much and to long to wait until dinner. Where greeted with a warm welcome and solved our poor French and his English communication challenges easily. Kitchen was closed until dinner but of course good he fix some of the "cool" option. Ordered salmon plate, a type of Croq Monseigneur and a beef tarter. Once we got are place where we nicely surprised. Huge plates with the dish ordered plus salad and on the sandwich also a potato gratin! Tasted fantastic, the "cool" option we expected to be cold ;-). Back side we could stop eating, finished all and couple hours later not hungry when time for dinner.Simple wonderful experience, -go there!

If I went again I would have the menu du jour again but choose a dessert as they looked really nice. The staff were pleasant and showed us a picture menu when they heard us chat to each other in engoish, I preferred to look only at the menu and speak in French.
We stumbled across this place at the rear of the cathedral and were very pleased. The staff were great, the food very enjoyable and the service good. And we got to look at the cathedral from our table. Would be great to sit outside in the summer
We had lunch in this bustling cafe. We had to wait for a table - which was a good sign.We wanted a light lunch and what we got was perfect. 2 Croque Monsieur, 1 Croque Madame and 1 assiette de charcuterie. This was really good food, tasty and well presented.
En route to Espenelves, Catalonia, via Reims, Dijon and Salon de Provence we stopped for lunch in Reims. Des Lys is a delightful cafe serving good quality food with comfortable exterior and interior seating. The owner is great and loves you to speak French which is right up our street. Lovely position, reasonable cost and just a treat.
