Buffalo Grill - Reims

We picked Reims as a lunch break between Lyon and Calais and planned to go to the highly rated Chez Nous. Unfortunately you had to have a reservation as it was so popular. A short drive up the road and we found the Buffalo Grill which looked like an Anerican Diner and was busy which is normally a good sign. After waiting a few minutes to be seated in a small 2 person booth we had to wait another 10 minutes for the overworked waitress to find us. She brought as a limp salad and then another 10 minutes later and we ordered a couple of steaks (entrecôte and cote de beouf). The food arrived very quickly but was almost inedible as it was so difficult to cut through the stringy fat. To make matters worse medium was in fact rare so back the cote de boeuf went. I struggled through with the entrecôte and the greasy chips which was one if the worst steaks I've eaten. The waitress apologised and refunded the cote from the bill and did ask if we wanted anything else. No way! Awful awful place.

Whenever we're in France we always make sure and visit a Buffalo grill. Not typical French cuisine but it does do a fine steak.

I have made several buffalo is this one remains correct, the service has been quick and pleasant waitress, no error, quality of the food present. Small disappointment but general to the buffalo, it is the change of map and the withdrawal of a dish that I greatly appreciate

It is obvious that staff are insufficient and incompetent by including cooks. As soon as we were installed, the order of the aperitives was taken, which seemed to be quite auspicious, the drinks arrived 3/4 hours later. half an hour waiting to place the order, and 30 minutes to be served. Moreover, the dishes did not respect the order. The blue steaks requested were in point, the point were more than cooked. The only positive point is that the waitress was kind. We all decided (we were 10) not to return to this establishment. We have visited this place several times, and we appreciate it, we think that a quick-handed recovery is necessary where this place will quickly disappear.
