I've visited les poulpe a few times and eating was excellent and good. it is always busy, so it is best to book a table. I would recommend this restaurant.
It was for a quick stop with friends in a small village near genf, the staff was super cool and we had a warm welcome. the kitchen is perfect for a friendly diner, tasty, innovative, local. They have a large amount of different beer. all over the world. it was a real experience I will never forget.
You could easily think that you can get into a cool indie london bar or an Arty Berlin chat... but they are in the did in the sleepy and quite boring city reignier, just a stone away from genf, annecy or many popular...Ski resorts. Nevertheless, the poulpe is an amazing bar located in the most friendly staff of all time and visited by a large amount of students and local musicians alike. gigs and djs play there most nights and it offers a restaurant to die. no trendy leather seats or predator decoration here, only a maic of rock memorabilia and second-hand furniture that gives it an extremely welcoming and warm feeling. but above all. how is eating? Well, you should book better in advance, since, although in the middle of nowhere, the culinary call of the poulpe attracts a lot of people. the portions are huge, salate the size of a football field, and the abondance burgers were probably the best burgers we had ever (yes, maybe even better than found on the other side of the atlantic.) the whole menu is a hearty mix of French delicacies, from mouches in the wine to the mont D’Or melted vacherin, by actually, if you think about it, the poulpe is such a friendly and more lively place that he can no longer be in london!

You could easily think that you are stepping into a cool indie London bar or an arty Berlin squat … but you are in fact in the sleepy and rather boring town of Reignier, only a stone throw away from Geneva, Annecy or many popular...ski resorts. Gigs and DJs play there most nights and it boasts a restaurant to die for. But most importantly … what is the food like? Well, you better book in advance as, although situated in the middle of nowhere, the Poulpe's culinary reputation attracts a lot of people. The portions are huge, salads the size of a football pitch, and the Abondance burgers were most probably the best burgers we ever had (yes, maybe even better than the ones found on the other side of the Atlantic). The whole menu is a hearty mix of French delicacies, from mussels in wine to Mont D’Or melted Vacherin, washed down by a good selection of wine and other local strong spirits which will probably make you move to the dance floor afterwards, where more alcohol and music will make you forget how and why you came here in the first place. Actually, thinking about it, the Poulpe is such a friendly and vibrant place that it can definitely not be in London anymore!
