This is a great spot to enjoy a relaxing drink in the sun with very friendly staff.
Great menu and super food. Good prices and lovely location
We often come here. Great menu and well cooked and presented.
We went to the restaurant for a family funeral. The buffet was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from.
Excellent food, reasonably priced and helpful friendly staff.
Nestled in a charming location, this restaurant offers a mixed bag of experiences. While some patrons enjoyed heated outdoor seating and exceptional service, others faced issues with indoor atmosphere and cleanliness. The food, particularly the homemade pies, garnered rave reviews for their hearty portions and quality, while some diners lamented flat beverages and unwelcoming management. Families appreciated the welcoming ambiance, especially for those dining with children. Overall, the establishment shows promise with its delightful cuisine and friendly staff, but improvements in management and hygiene could elevate its reputation further.

This cozy, family friendly pub has left the best impressions! It has a really great menu delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, they have a wine list beers, ales, spirits and bubbles. They also have wonderful desserts. I recommend to everyone!
The restaurant was very clean and tidy with friendly staff. My wife and I enjoyed a nice lunch. I had the excellent bratwurst sandwich with hot buttered mushrooms on the side, which was very tasty.
This is our fourth visit to this restaurant, and we've had consistently excellent experiences each time. The pub is fantastic, with a great host who goes above and beyond to make patrons feel welcomed. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and cooked to perfection. The real ale is well maintained and definitely worth trying. We will definitely be back again. Just a tip: if you don't have a big appetite, avoid ordering the pizza as it easily feeds two people.
Food was great. Also had a party here and the function room and outside space was perfect for our needs. We had two members of staff for the whole event
Visited last week with my sister whom I hadn't seen for almost 3 years excellent food and service in cozy surroundings highly recommended

I frequently visit this pub and consistently receive great value for the delicious food they serve. The manager is always friendly and welcoming.
This is a spacious pub with different seating options. The service is friendly and it seems to be a popular spot among locals, as many seemed to know each other. Although I wasn't too impressed with the selection of real ales, I still had a drink. The menu looked appetizing and the prices were reasonable, but I ended up not eating. It was odd that the disabled toilet was located up a few steps.
I'll start with the positives. The staff were very attentive and the pub was very clean. However, there were a few negatives. I booked Sunday lunch here based on a recommendation from the OpenTable app as a family-friendly pub. Unfortunately, my family of 4 children were seated next to two tables of rowdy and foul-mouthed young men. The portion sizes were decent but the food was overpriced for the quality. Each dish had something wrong with it, such as reheated mash, undercooked pastry, slimy mushrooms, and dry/burnt brownies. The price of drinks, particularly cola, was also quite high. I was also disappointed to see that the service charge added to the bill was over 10%. While I always tip between 10-25%, I don't appreciate being told how much to tip, especially when I wasn't impressed with the meal. In conclusion, I will not be returning to or recommending this venue.
Some of the best food I've had for a while. Looking forward to working away each week as I get Tuesdays and Wednesdays to eat my way through the menu. Staff are fantastic especially Rob who swirls a great Pinot Grigio. Cheers everyone at The Walton Fox.
This pub has an enormous potential to be fabulous! It needs a few sofas and cozy area and bright ornaments or something to lift it, looks flat and dark. It is just table and chairs everywhere...It needs a little love and TLC. But the food was good.

Mike, The soda and the cola from the tap was flat. May as well been poured tap water in.. We were in there Saturday. There is visible fragmetes of glass between the floor areas of your bar FRIDGES . The beer isn't great and PULL YOUR BAR FRIDGES OUT AND CLEAN THE GLASS AND DUST OUT VISIBLE AND BEHIND. WAKE UP YOUR LAZY STAFF Sid couldn't drink his last beer in there months ago and won't return.
I had an amazing lunch! The home cooked food was delicious, the service was excellent, and it was definitely worth the money. I would gladly go back or recommend it to others. Thank you!
I came here as a meeting point with a friend, but I can only assume that the positive reviews are from friends of the owners because we found it to be very disappointing. The food was bland and the service was poor. We had to wait a long time for our meals to arrive. Although no one was overtly rude to us, it seems like we didn't meet the manager, and the staff didn't seem very concerned when we asked about our food. I have had worse experiences before, but there are better places in the area, so I will not be coming back.
Best pub around, great food and atmosphere. Staff are so friendly especially Kara! She’s always smiling! Lovely visit and will always be my go to pub.
Hands down the best pie I have had in a pub for the last 6+ years- ignore the miserable review before me. Went with the family 5 of us) and every plate was decent. Simple honest to goodness pub grub with no attempts at pompous chorizo and truffle infused duck lard gastro-pub silliness). Nicely cooked chips, salom and prawn salad wax decent, burgers perfectly seasoned and lovely fresh scampi. But my god that pie... reinvigorated my belief that you can get a decent sized, well cooked crusty steak and sle pie in a pub not a soggy mess in gravy or de onstructed ingredient skimper). Well filled too, solid chunks of slow cooked beef with little or no filler. Only criticism we had is that they could have had better beers on tap... That being said, still gets full marks from me

I have been coming to this restaurant for my Sunday lunch regularly for a few years now. Will and Finlay provided outstanding and attentive service. The dishes are presented nicely and of high quality. I highly recommend trying their pies.
We received excellent service from our waitress, who was efficient and polite. The food arrived promptly and was delicious, with the beef roasts standing out as particularly tasty. Overall, we found it to be great value for money.
The food was good honest grub.Well cooked and with a generous amount of beef. The price for the food and drinks was definitely very reasonable;particularly compared to another pub just up the road. All the staff and locals were very friendly.I wish it was my local;I'd go out a lot more.
Good food, good price and excellent service. We're very likely to return in the future
We had never visited The Fox and Hounds before, but we were delighted to find it was a really good place to eat, with pleasant service and I convivial atmosphere.

I recently had lunch at this charming country-style pub and was very impressed. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of options on the menu. The service was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning soon. They have plenty of parking spaces with easy access to the pub. The price per person ranges from £20 to £30. Overall, I give it a 5-star rating for the food quality.
This pub is amazing! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. I brought my family here for a birthday meal and everything was perfect. They are always so accommodating for larger groups or parties. Thank you, Kara! Price per person is between £20 and £30. I give the food and service a rating of 5 out of 5.
This restaurant is a wonderful local gem. My group enjoyed delicious camembert and mushroom starters, followed by a tasty chicken pie. The staff added an extra touch to our dining experience with their friendly and welcoming service. The price per person ranged from £20 to £30, but the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere was well worth it. I highly recommend trying the Extra Crusty Baguette. There is plenty of parking available for customers, with a free parking lot as an option.
Friendly, efficient service, very good food, ample portions at reasonable prices. What's not to like?
Can't go wrong here friendly atmosphere, good food and dog friendly 5* experience Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
