An iconic, historic, delightful buiding which is hugely popular with students and others wishing to have a coffee while working on laptops in a spacious and quiet environment. Yet sadly, it is clear that hygiene is not a priority. The upstairs toilet was frankly disgusting. There was no toilet paper and the washbasin clearly hadn't been wiped down for days. Neither had the table tops been wiped down and the floor didn't look much cleaner. Wake up, Caffe Nero, before it's too late; you have huge competition from many other coffee shops who clearly take a pride in appearances and hygiene.

Tables were not cleaned, the floor was filthy, and trays were left scattered around. Even the decaf coffee was not fresh. It's a shame because the building itself is beautiful and has the potential to be a charming cafe.

Tables upstairs were all filthy and when staff came to clear cups none were wiped. The staff member kept getting their phone out and eventually gave up half way through to have a sit down! This could be such a lovely place as the building is great and the coffee is good- they just need staff who care about making a difference and keeping it clean.

I also love the building, which is quite unique... read more Once again, I received excellent service at this location. I was served by a new barista who was very pleasant. I also love the building, which is quite unique compared to other Caffè Nero locations I’ve visited. I was captivated by the beautiful landscape and location. In my opinion, it ranks right up there with my other favorite Caffè Nero in Aylesbury. Highly recommended!
