At first the empty (plastic) tables scared us a bit but very happy to have stayed because it’s a great place to eat the local kitchen. Portions are on the larger side and the waiter was really friendly! Go for the chocomousse to share as dessert! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €15–20
Espaço agradável com uma boa decoração.Execelnte esplanada, boa comida e b serviço,desde que não feito pelo dono do restaurante, que não puma pela simpatia.
Enjoyed a comfortable group luncheon at this family-run restaurant en route to Évora. We started with traditional Portuguese Kale soup which was unexpectedly delicious, accompanied by fresh bread. A roast lamb entrée followed which was also very good. Monsaraz is somewhat out of the way, but if you go, Casa do Forno is a worthy stop. Thumbs up!
Nice atmosphere, good service, enormous portions of traditional, meat-based Portuguese dishes. Don't order migas alone (even a half portion! or you will explode.
A truly hidden gem!! We had a terrific lunch here on our way to Evora. We started with the soup forget the name of it but it is a traditional soup in Portugal . It is made with broth and bits of kale or cabbage and just delicious. Served with good bread, it could be a meal in itself. Next came salad and it was great just to have something green again a rarity it seems here. We had lamb and potatoes and the lamb was perfectly tender and juicy. No mutton taste here. The dish was flavorful and just perfect.
