The Cottage Restaurant - Regina

This had to be the worst dining experience of my lifeI could not believe the food they tried to serve us.

This summer, I was invited along to supper while I was back home to visit family and here is where they made the reservations.

I tried The Cottage because I wanted to see what a local restaurant in Regina had to offer, and not a chain restaurant.

We recently visited Regina for an overnight stay and thought that we would return to an old favorite from many years ago. We found that the service and quality of food was still top notch. When I asked the gentleman working the front of the restaurant about the ownership, he said that his uncle has owned this restaurant for a long time and that he works in the kitchen to ensure every dish meets his quality standards. We didn't have a reservation on a Friday night, but were able to get a table in the busy restaurant. We were promptly seated and the server immediately brought us drinks. We ordered the Greek style liver and veal cutlet meals. This was such a great deal. These meals were under $20 in this fine dining restaurant and you will not go away hungry. We were served garlic toast, separate salad, and a full meal with vegetables, potato and a large serving of meat for this price. The service was impeccable, with just the right amount of time between courses. Our water glasses were never empty and every need was taken care of. The food was seasoned perfectly and cooked perfectly. There is a Greek influence here, so we really enjoyed the lemon roast potatoes and Greek salad. We wouldn't think of eating anywhere else in Regina!

I have been here several times for birthdays and celebrations and I always look forward to it! Their food is incredible, good prices considering the amazing quality of the food and wonderful service. I have never had a bad experience at this place. The atmosphere is wonderful and there are so many options to choose from. Highly recommend!
