What User doesn't like about Leopolds Tavern:
Not sure what the hype is about for this place. It is insanely loud so be prepared to yell. Tables are crammed together and it's tough to move. Not sure why it has such a great reputation. Doesn't offer anything extraordinary. Drink selection is ok. Food is decent. Nachos are good. Staff is ok but not terrific. Doesn't stand out form any other place though. View all feedback.
We stumbled over this place and decided to have brunch. the place appeared (and was) very welcoming due to the music and decoration. the decor could keep busy for hours. eating was pretty good as the service. as likely we will.
Poutine was amazing and so many unique decisions. loved the atmosphere of memories/licence plates on the wall roof.
I visited this restaurant two days ago with a friend and we ordered fish and chips, a Philly sub, and bacon chowder. Unfortunately, the food made us feel sick afterwards and did not match the expectations we had based on the appearance. I later had leftovers from the meal, which also made me feel unwell. The fish was overcooked, the chowder was too watery, and the sub had an odd oily texture. On a positive note, the beer was good and the service was decent, but overall, the dining experience was disappointing.
I have never had a terrible experience like the one I had at this restaurant. The wings and burger tasted like they were frozen and the sauce was from Costco. The wings came with salt and pepper on the side, which was a strange touch. The burger was raw. I would give this place a terrible rating if I could. It was truly unreal.
During the Covid pandemic, we have been supporting local restaurants by ordering takeout regularly. As a nurse, it is a nice reprieve from long hours at work. Last Friday, we decided to order from Leo's. When we called to place our order, we were informed that our only option was to order through Door Dash or Uber Eats. We chose Door Dash for convenience. Unfortunately, one of the meals was missing from our order. While we tried to resolve the issue, the rest of the food grew cold and lost its flavor. Leo's refused to replace the missing dish, directing us to contact Door Dash instead. Navigating Door Dash's website to address the problem proved to be challenging. Eventually, we received a credit for the missing meal, but using it would mean paying for delivery and tip again. In the end, we were left with one meal missing and no refund. This falls far short of the quality of service we had anticipated from Leo's.
