Chop Steakhouse & Bar - Regina

Always be a very elegant and stylish experience in this restaurant. at the latest we went to the Valentine's Day dinner and was a pleasant experience. was a few minutes waiting time also after a reservation, but considering that it is a special day, we can ignore that. eating was beautiful as always. we recommend their steak bits as an appetizer. is just as good with wein or beer. steaks are fresh and simple, but delicious. server are polite and friendly. read a message that chop was selected in the list of top 100 fine eating in canada

Visited for dinner and a few drinks with colleagues. it was a lively night. good atmosphere. it was obvious that the staff was busy. the service was understandably slower than expected. the decor is a beautiful break from the typical regina windowless steakhouse scene. I've always wondered what's happening in the diplomatic or in the cottage when it's going out. How does the clientel look? Oil-based laternen? the flame from fried cheese? or light up the eyes of the old premier ministers and lead the away? a question for another time. what impressed me most, what happened when the manager of chop came out of the kitchen to inform two of my friends that the steaks they had ordered were overheard. this problem was picked up before the steaks were even brought to the table. good quality control. the other members of our party had already received our meals. in a gesture to make the dinge right, the manager offers my friends the opportunity to make every appetizer free to apologize for the delayed meals. apology accepted, appetizers ordered, and the night continued. the missing steaks and free appetizers appeared within 5 minutes. it is refreshing to know that there are still some places that are ready to recognize a problem with service and do what they can to correct it. the customer wants to return and to round off everything, the steak was excellent.

The building itself was extremely cold, seemed like they did have the heat on. Food came not warm but not cold, and it wasn't all that great. Steaks were cooked properly, but the flavour wasn't there. My son ordered a kid burger and it was over done, and totally plain. Baked potatoes came with fake bacon bits which ruined the flavour. All in all, 2/5.

Great atmosphere. Best prime rib in the city. Love the vibes in the bar. Excellent service.

We haven't been in for a long time and nothing has changed. we order a few appetizers, screaming horses, meatballs and steak bites. the food was good and the service was good.
