Pepys Pizzeria - REGGIO DI CALABRIA

The last few paintings I have visited reggio I have not been able to visit pepys since it is closed for the summer (in the high season they move to a pizzeria on the beach that I accept is excellent because they are not close to it) so finally visit from the season I managed to scratch this particular itch. pizzeria, located at the far end of garibaldi from the railway station, is in fact quite small in statur with a handful of tables inside and outside. the bright side is that when they are there it tends to be in the quiet season, so there is a good chance to get a place. the pizza I had was excellent. not “best ever” material, but still very good, well cooked, in a contemporary wise, and for a good price. it is hard to really knock, and I will definitely be back

According to estimates, we expected more. I do not recommend this restaurant since nothing of great plate of seafood was not tasty. Pizza less. No environment is not top notch. The only thing that pleasantly surprised the bill, otherwise it would have been a total failure. Not expensive.

An excellent restaurant for pizzas, with a good atmosphere and kindly service. Very good value, too. Just away from the main throughfares, but worth walking to.

To clarify, there are two Pepys locations, the Via Roma one as appears on the map, and the one by the beach which some of the other reviews describe. We went to the Via Roma location at lunch time it is a couple of blocks behind the museum. There is a wide choice of food available at a good price and service is quick. Recommended as a place to eat following a museum visit more frequented by people working in the area than by tourists, and I would imagine better quality and price than some of the places between the museum and the sea.
