We are no longer as enthusiastic as in the beginning. The dishes are no longer so perfect. The ordered Obazda (unfortunately photographed) did not convince us. But the cheeses have been delicious, the portion well saturating. View all feedback.
The Valentine's Bath is a river bath on the rain. By the way: The name "rain" of this river has nothing to do with the precipitation, but it is a word delivered by the Celt that means as much as "the superfoaming". The Valentinsbad is located north of Regenstauf on the road to Nittenau. It is really idyllic in a very natural river landscape. There are large meadows; Even if there is a urge, people run somehow, but the shadows under the trees are denser. A large free parking is available. The entrance to the bathroom is free of charge. Nevertheless, the plant is very well maintained. There are toilets, showers, changing rooms, a children's playground and a beach volleyball court. Here is a very good access for StandUpPaddeling. Barbecues and tents are not allowed. A restaurant that also bears the name “Valentinsbad” is located next to it. The flow rate of the river (usually with the exception of floods) is so low that even less practiced swimmers can handle it. A small artificial sandy beach was created for easy access to the water. There are also tracks with ladders. The water quality is very good and remains in late summer when many bathing lakes complain about an algae plague.
Despite reservation we were not served!!!! After 25 min we have thirsty and hungry left the restaurant!!!! Even multiple waving was ignored although not much was going on.

We regularly go to the Valentine's Bath when we're in the area. Delicious good bourgeois cuisine. Small criticism that we had this time is that the sauce at the Swiss Pfand'l was very watered (not so good to see on the photo).
We have regular stays in Regenstauf and have been in Valentine's Bath twice. We are simply convinced of the taste and value for money! In good weather we have now also been able to sit in the beautiful beer garden. The Cordonbleu has tasted particularly well! The Roulade, as the only dish, hasn't quite convinced that it is simply a nice, strong dark sauce that belongs to it and not as a bright sauce as served.
