It was a treat to be able to eat at this 500 year old restaurant. They served me a variety of GF sausages that were probably the best I’ve ever had, and happily offered gluhwein instead of the usual beer. View all feedback.
What ยุพา กมลานันท์ doesn't like about Wurstkuchl:
This feels like a must do as a tourist, but is underwhelming. I grabbed a brat to go and it was just ok-a bit burnt, but nice sauerkraut and mustard. The woman taking my order was patient as I counted change. I noticed there were...primarily English speakers sitting down to eat and mostly German speakers grabbing their brat to go. If your food to go DO NOT try to sit at the tables. The table service has more options... View all feedback.
Excellent Food, service and an historic restaurant
Amazing German sausages! They serve 3 items: Wurst, Kraut, and Rolls 2 of the three are GF (not the rolls which are kept separate). Staff was aware of allergies I saw the kitchen where only meat touches the grill. So nice, I went twice!
Bratwurst, sauerkraut and kartoffelsalat are gluten free, and you can have wine with your meal.
We ate inside and found the place to be clean and comfortable Our waiter was friendly and helpful Food was great although a little overpriced All in all a good place to eat
Sat inside at the restaurant. Ordered the sausages with sauerkraut and the potato soup. Both were very good. Three reasons for the rating. First, they charge a euro for each bread baguette but don’t tell you that until you get the bill. They put...a basket of on the table when you sit down. They seem to put the unused ones back in the communal baskets so may be unsanitary. Certainly should tell you about cost up front. Second, cash only but not disclosed up front. Third, service is polite but apathetic. Took a while to get mustard, never came back for more drinks. In retrospect, I would have braved the lines outside and gotten it from the to-go place next door. It’s a good lunch for euros. Overpriced for
