Da Vinci - Regensburg

I just had pizza and my wife had spaghetti both was delicious. Nice service and ambient warm. Also in terrace we have nice tiramisu and espresso.

It began raining on our only afternoon in Regensburg, so after getting wet exploring the old town we thought an Italian meal would work on our walk home to our accommodation. Unfortunately we chose da Vinci's, the service was good but the Merlot was not...available, we ordered a starter of Bruschetta, it was a pizza base drowned in garlic... horrible. Next we had Lasagna Forbidden, wishy-washy with little flavour. We then discovered that they don't take payment in Visa/MasterCard.... really? In in a major European city? Ridiculous.

I really enjoy coming here and the food is delicious and service friendly, I would rate it higher but unfortunately there is issue I have, whenever I dine here my clothes and hair end up smelling like food from the smoke coming from the...kitchen, there isn't sufficient ventilation in kitchen and restaurant when the food is prepared or the extractor fan in kitchen is too small/broken or there's no windows in the kitchen. I will visit again but only during summer when I can eat outside without stinking of smoky food smell.I won't be able to dine here again whilst sitting inside unless they sort out the ventilation for this restaurant. I don't want to have to wash my clothes all the time after dining here. I will rate it higher if the ventilation issue is fixed.

My partner and i used to be regulars here and decided to dine here again after a couple weeks, not sure if its a new cook in the kitchen or what went wrong but the regular shrimp penne pasta that i always ordered tasted terrible....More
