We have taken diner this weekend at doppeladler and twice breakfast during the popfestival Haldern pop. Of course it was busy for the restaurant and they had good business. Diner was ok, typical german, with big portions. The breakfast was chaotic but ok. The people who worked there did their best, but the staff member was horrible. This Guy was shouting at us when we wanted to drink a coffee in the afternoon to get warm after the rainy festival. He shouted they were closing and we had to get out. Sorry, but never shout to customers who just want to order something, you're not fit to the job. We never Will come back here

This is a nices restaurant with delicious fish and meat plates. The portions are well served and I recommend to make reservations at least one week in advance.

Ok ambience. Ok food but nothing special. Had better in the area and found the staff lacking a bit in the manners department. Being cheap won't always make up for weaknesses in other areas.

I have written a bit for the restaurant in my hotel review. Excellent place for dinner. Need to make reservation as I was quite full. Had the onion soup as a starter and the cod fish fillet as main. Both were magnificent.

We did not stay in the hotel so I am going to tick the not sure and very good boxes but did have a superb meal in the restaurant with relatives. The restaurant was clean, well served and very busy. Good cold draught beer along...with some lovely wine. Service was good and the staff were very pleasant. Food was hot, tasty and there was a fair bit of it. Cost was around euros per couple. I would definitely eat here again when we next visit.
