Had a friend in from Georgia who wanted some good food while in town. Brought him here for lunch, it's been a long time since I've been in Reedley and this place did not disappoint either of us.He enjoyed his Enchiladas Verdes. I had the Filete Empanizados which was very good. Breading was crispy and fish was cooked perfectly. Plate normally comes with rice and beans, I ordered with no rice dietary reasons(pictured).... What Stefanie Galvan doesn't like about El Rincon Americano:
Was really craving menudo but was in Reedley. Hoped there's would be good but nope, it was very bland n they hardly put any hominy and I even asked for extra! Service took way too long, and waitress was very condescending to kitchen staff, yelling at them to work faster. From what I saw, the cooks were two young Hispanic males. Definitely will NOT go there again!! View all feedback.
Used to be one of our favorite places to go. Ordered a $19 bowl of cocido and a bowl of albondigas that had no flavor at all. Pretty much water and flavorless meat. We decided to ask for a to go container and take it home to add flavoring so we wouldn’t waste a meal.
Charged more at checkout than the price on the menu. Asked about it, waitress pointed to a very tiny printed message (she couldn't find it herself at first! that said prices subject to change without notice. She said there were digital menus, with QR codes on the tables, but there was NO QR code on our table! She never advised us of any price changes when we ordered. Would not correct our tag. Only cook was present. Rather than argue, we paid left. Won't go back.
The entrees were delicious, the service was very good, however, the beans and rice were cold and the beans were watery. Microwaving did not help much.

I look forward to returning again.
