Pizz'a Chicago - Redwood City

I wanted to like this place but it’s definitely not a Chicago deep dish. Which wasn’t a deal breaker. But, even with the low expectations this pizza was still lackluster. Lots of bread and not much flavor in the pizza sauce. Toppings tasted fresh.

It is only shown on the receipt provided AFTER payment, where it is deceptively listed under the heading Tax (see photo). Please get rid of these fees and incorporate it into your menu prices as the cost of doing business. Junk fees are deceptive and make the dining experience unpleasant. As a diner, I am steering my business away from restaurants with fees and supporting those with inclusive menu pricing instead. We had the Joliet Jake. The crust is thick but relatively airy and light. For the most part, I liked this topping combination, but I felt they skimped a bit on the amount of tomato sauce and maybe the cheese. I still enjoyed it. The service was very friendly and attentive. Outdoor seating: Outdoor tables in front of the restaurant, under patio umbrellas and an awning. Overhead heaters. In cold wet weather, they put clear vinyl side panels around the dining patio, in warmer weather they leave the sides open.

Excellent pizza, excellent service. Though not truly Chicago ?

Gave us the WRONG pizza (to take out). Ate it anyway. NO SPICE! Bland, this ain't a Chicago

The food was absolutely fantastic! The staff went above and beyond by setting up the outdoor area for us and turning on the heater. Everything was prepared so quickly. We will definitely be returning.
