Very local Guatemalan strip mall restaurant. The only thing I can recommend is the pork and chicken tomales. They were wrapped in banana leaves as opposed to corn husks in the Mexican tradition. Very flavorful and moist. I will be back. View all feedback.
What sanz zana doesn't like about Panaderia Guatemalteca:
Went in to get bread and it was in plastic bags. When I got it home it was hard as a rock and burned the tostadas and the sweet bread was rancid was also in a bag in that hot store. Bread is made with eggs so with that heat I can see why the bread was bitter and rancid. I am so disappointed, View all feedback.
Good food, never disappoints! So far Everything we have tried is delicious! The breakfast dishes atole de arroz are a must try!
This place is disgusting. I saw mice under the bread display. When I first walked in there was nobody in sight that worked there. I waited about 10 minutes to finally be served and put my order in. Tables were very dirty and floor look like it hasn't been swept at all throughout the day. I only gave them one star I wish I could give them -5 stars
Good place to visit for guatemalan food. Not the best, but it is not bad. They need work on their platanos fritos. They are hard and not fully cooked.
Chorizo eggs Fairly bland Some pico de Gallo Would have been nice. Runny black beans Would have preferred pinto beans. They had very very thick tortillas. A carb nightmare. My grandma made very light thin tortillas. I know it's possible. One unbelievable thing for any kitchen is not to have butter! But no butter for my tortillas. Nor any real cream for coffee. Just artificial chemical powder. There was only one other person seated. Should have been a clue.
Been coming here for years food tastes just like you’re at your grandmas house. And every meal comes with fresh handmade tortillas. So delicious! I recommend this place to anyone looking for Guatemalan food.
