Delicious tacos. Service was slightly rushed. Eat inside. Street is busy and noisy. This restaurant is a standout in what appears to be a run down part of Redwood City. View all feedback.
What Philippe Mahe doesn't like about La Viga:
wow. the whole food was so good, even better made by fantastic diving sauce. the fried calamari, which can be tired in some restaurants, rubbery and tasteless, was amazing. Although it was a generous part, we wish we had ordered more! the whip was fresh, bright and excellent. the main dishes matched the incredibly high standard of the appetizers. the only disappointment was the service that was somewhat slow and negl... Amazing food and drink, great service, and a nice atmosphere.

Hands down the worst seafood I’ve had in a while. Shrimp tacos were awful, they tasted like pork cracklings, same applies for fish tacos. The Dorado was overcooked. The only better than average dish was the seafood coctel. Service in general very slow and disorganized, the waiter showed up to my table after 10 minutes of being seated. The waiter attitude was nice and apologetic about the delay.
Extremely overpriced. I felt robbed when the bill came.
We visit La Viga quite frequently and we are always pleased. The food and cocktails were great and the service was superb. We will be back!!
