Contribute FeedbackKarakade Thai Cuisine offers a mix of customer feedback, ranging from disappointed to overwhelmingly positive. Some found the lack of service frustrating, while others praised the flavorful dishes. The spice levels varied, but many found the food to be delicious. However, some felt the flavors lacked complexity. The restaurant was noted for its authentic Thai Southern cuisine that transported diners to Thailand. Friendly service and generous portions were highlighted, making this spot a regular favorite for some. Despite differing opinions, Karakade Thai Cuisine seems to offer a unique and flavorful dining experience worth revisiting.
Very delicious! I've been to Bangkok and the mango rice tastes exactly like what I had there!
I ordered the tofu pad thai and papaya salad. The tofu was crispy and tasty, but the pad thai noodles didn't hold up well and lacked complexity in flavor. It was missing the perfect balance of sweet, sour, and umami found at top-tier Thai restaurants. The papaya salad was good, but could have used more depth of flavor with additional fish sauce and spice to enhance the overall taste experience.
I would say this place is a 3.5 but I’m rounding up. The tom yum soup was good. The service was good and quick. The parking was limited and the neighborhood seemed a bit off the beaten path. I can say I have found any go to Thai food other than Ratcha but that’s in Berkeley. I’d consider coming back here but might not go out of my way for it.
It's was pretty good. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it should be but everything we ordered (spicy eggplant tofu, papaya salad, and crab fried rice) was flavorful and delicious.
This is a fantastic spot to savor Thai cuisine! The Tom Yum fried rice was absolutely delicious.
