Alice's Restaurant - Redwood City

The food, drinks, service and atmosphere was incredible. A bit of a fun drive to get there too!

This restaurant is amazing. I make the trip up here on my motorcycle from Soquel a couple of times a year, and sometimes bring my wife along for the ride. It's a well-known spot with delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere. The drive up here is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth it. But let's keep this place our little secret among the locals.

If you 're in the area after a hike or a bike ride, Alice makes a great place to grab a bite. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and is pretty casual. There is no wait service so you 'll need to order at the front counter. But the food may need to be picked up (via remote pagers) or be delivered to you depending on how busy it is. The lines have gotten longer over the years and during my last visit, it was a good 15 minutes in line before ordering. The backyard is a large open space and a great spot to bring your dogs to enjoy as well. Great ambiance for just hanging out and enjoying the scenery and landscape. The food is always top notch and whether it 's from the kitchen or a pastry grab-n-go, you will not be disappointed. Parking in the area is somewhat chaotic so watch out for the peeps.
