At the end of our viator cork farm tour we were brought to this small family-run restaurant in the cute little village redondo. there were many parking spaces i... read more At the end of our viator cork farm tour we were brought to this small family-run restaurant in the cute little village redondo. there were many parking spaces in the restaurant. redondo is a 30-minute drive from evora, the historic walled city. where we were. our guide, jose, left us in the good hands of restaurant staff and told us that the lunch bill was already paid as part of our tour. this restaurant specializes in traditional Portuguese cuisine. we were offered all drinks we wished and served immediately olive and freshly baked bread. for the next cure we had a choice of kicherbsuppe, dog soup or grilled veranda cheer. we chose the first two of the above and they were delicious. the next cure was grilled black pork (from a fed pork) and a sweet dish prepared with lubricated boiled asparagus and broth; both were very delicious! the desert was a traditional Portuguese Custard tart called tarte requeijao. if they are in the south-eastern portugal, they should be safe and invite in this fine restaurant with very friendly and attentive staff to lunch or dinner.
