The Bochegas (pork cheeks) were pretty ggod as well as the french fries and the fried cheese was awesome. We also had a glass of Rose which was not bad.

Hungry and tired, we asked our hosts for a... read more After a long day of sight seeing and driving from Coimbra, we checked into our farm stay in Redondo, just past Evora. Hungry and tired, we asked our hosts for a recommendation for a late dinner they suggested Celerio do Pinto and said they would take good care of us. Well, that was an understatement! We had one of the best meals of our trip. Do not skip the grilled black pork one of the daily specials included both the lean and fattier cuts grilled simply with just salt. It was beyond amazing although I couldn 't finish all of it, my husband was only too happy to help. Of course this was after he had polished off an entire platter of grilled dogfish with garlic and olive oil served with thin cut potatoes that were more than a potato chip so delicious! Our server was wonderful and spoke perfect English I hope to be able to someday speak Portuguese even 1/4 as well. And, don 't skip the olives, mushrooms, bread, and charcuterie served as couvert. We are stuffed and happy and headed home to our farm stay!

Our server, Elsa, couldn’t have been nicer and had good suggestions. Had asparagus “bread pudding” with variety of pork. Husband had the fried chicken. Both were very good. Recommend.
