Tara Thai - Redondo Beach

This is the best Thai food I've ever had! The wonton soup, fried rice, and spicy eggplant were all incredible. Be sure to request the chili paste!

Incredible value! The lunch special is enormous and costs less than $10. You can choose your protein—options include pork, beef, chicken, and more (note that seafood is extra)—along with your dish. There are plenty of delicious choices, including Pad Thai and Laksa Noodle Soup. My personal favorite is the Chili and Basil with chicken, which offers a perfect blend of spicy and sweet flavors. The chicken is stir-fried with a medley of Asian vegetables, fresh basil leaves, and chili, and it's served with steaming hot rice. Tara Thai is perfect for work lunches thanks to its convenient location and affordable prices. Besides the $10 lunch special, they also offer a $30 set menu, making it ideal for larger groups. This option includes a variety of mains, appetizers, and sides, allowing everyone to share and enjoy!

It was an average experience. I ordered my food to go and didn’t have to wait long since it was around 3 PM. The service was good, and the interior of the restaurant was clean and attractive. However, my food lacked the spice I was expecting and was quite mild instead. I also ordered shrimp with my meal, but I would have liked a few more for the price I paid. I am quite particular about food, especially the dishes I grew up with, and I have certain expectations. Overall, the taste of the food was decent.

I placed an online order with Tara Thai, which confirmed it. However, when I arrived at the scheduled time on Friday at 7:30 PM, the restaurant was closed. I received no food and no notification about the closure.
