The food and service is great. However, it is quieter so several times we have been there hasn't been much atmosphere. The great food does out weigh this though! Plus it's affordable which is a bonus for great food. View all feedback.

We sat in the carriages which was lovely, staff were good, very polite. Unfortunately i was quite disappointed with my breakfast, choosing the Breakfast bagel w/ scrambled eggs, thick cut ham & tomato... The ham was those round thin as paper slices you get from a packet at woolies and no tomato...When i discussed with a staff member i just got a short apology with no offer of a reason or discount. We had the antipasto for starters- excellent and great combo of tastes. Mains were pork belly, salt and pepper squid and salmon. All were lovely and would recommend them. The meals were all larger served than usual, but managed to eat it all.

Working in hospitality I understand that they may have run out of things but I would have expected them to let me know or offer another option. I wouldn't bother going there again.
Farewell dinner before leaving Cairns. Younger sister had been here a few times and said the food and service was fantastic. Couldn't agree more. We had tables in the covered outdoor dining area which is very nice. There is also a train carriage set up for dining. We all enjoyed our meals except for my nieces who had the pork belly which they said were a little dry. Still, I would recommend this place for a visit. Wonderful
Couldn't ask for better, more friendly service, great menu, fantastic food, lovely location on the platform or in a (a/c) carriage. We had a great evening, though as it was a Thursday two nights before Christmas, we were the only people there.
Four of us dined here last night. We sat in the aircon carriage and it was a cozy and unique cabin. Entrees of coconut prawns were first rate and antipasti platter a large serving. For mains we had rib fillet reef and beef along with pork belly. Everything cooked perfectly and generous portions left us full. We ordered a side of beer battered chips but they actually were wedges which I wasn't expecting. The night finished with some baileys and an affogato. Great night with great friends and I can highly recommend you try for yourself.
