We have consistently enjoyed the food at this restaurant each time we've visited. The brunch is of excellent quality, and the variety of dishes offered is very inviting.
The atmosphere and dining staff are pleasant. The food presentation is decent. We ordered two fish dishes—branzino and ahi—but were quite disappointed. The fish didn't taste fresh, and honestly, the California Fish Kitchen offers comparable quality for a quarter of the price. They overdid the garnishes, which left us feeling uncomfortable. We had to remove the excess garnishes just to enjoy the actual flavors of the dishes. When I raised my concerns about the branzino, they kindly replaced it with pasta, but it was just okay—too greasy and not worth the price. On a positive note, the bread and burrata cheese were good. Overall, we were left unimpressed.
This place is expensive, the food is good, but the service is extremely slow. We waited for an hour for our food to come. They offered us no compensation for this ridiculous wait. Where was the management? Where were the owners? We will never go back here.
The ambiance and setting of this restaurant is absolutely adorable. However, I expected more from the food. When eating fine dining you expect more. It was an experience, but, not one I will do again.
Whew, I can't begin to explain how overpriced this restaurant is. On New Year's Eve, my husband and I had a very mediocre 3 course meal with one cocktail and a lemonade that cost us $393. I can't believe we paid this much for such an awful meal. I would have had a better meal at a chain restaurant like the Cheesecake Factory and saved $300!
