I really love the cake at this place, especially the Raspberry Victorian with whipped cream frosting. Unfortunately, they've stopped offering cake by the slice, which means I probably won't be coming back. They do have cupcakes with the same flavors, but the balance and overall experience just aren't the same. Paid a ridiculous amount of $480 for a two tier cake. One, I had to provide basically everything for my cake and I had to place everything myself two I also had to buy my own flower and stack my cake myself because they don’t do that apparently. The cake wasn’t even that good . View all feedback.

The cakes are delicious, but the selection is limited. If you have specific preferences, it's best to order in advance to ensure you get what you want.
The cakes are amazing especially the Victorian raspberry filling and white cake. I have several cakes from Michelle's and they were all very good and consistent.
Michelle's Cakes made my wedding cake for my backyard wedding this past October 2022. I had heard of Michelle's cake through a friend who introduced me to their cupcakes. All the cupcakes I had tried were absolutely amazing, so I knew Michelle's cakes would be perfect for my wedding cake. Michelle is very communicative, prices are beyond reasonable, and most importantly her cakes are DELICIOUS! We could have easily done a cake through our caterer, but we are so happy we went with Michelle's Cakes. Could not recommend this bakery more for any event in the DMV area! A family owned and operated bakery, you will not be disappointed with their service and the quality of their cakes.

I wanted to share this review in case anyone else, like me, drives out of their way for a slice and doesn't want to waste their time.
