The first time La Volata visits Pizzeria. I'm visiting Palm Springs. My friend Lee Burton brought me here. Wow. Amazing ambience and decor. Love the blue banquet. We had Halibut and Chicken Rigatoni. For dessert, the cream brulee with a surprising berry componote (coulis) on the ground. Also the chocolate halffreddo (I think it was) with Chantilly cream. Excellent service, food and bar choice. Really a Redlands? Can'... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Volata Pizzeria:
Always had a fantastic experience here in previous visits, but tonight both pizzas were over delicate spots on the crust and into the kingdom of fragile coal, while the rest of the pizza was wet and floppy. We wanted to restore the worst of the two. The remake was just a little less charred, but overall baked. Too hot too fast? I'm just a little pizza lawyer. disappointment compared to previous experiences, unaccepta... View all feedback.
The food, service, and atmosphere are all excellent. It's a lovely place for a relaxed dinner. Having lived in San Francisco, New York City, and Los Angeles, I can confidently say that both the food and the ambiance would thrive in any of those cities. I ordered the arrabbiata with hot honey, the fall salad, and roasted carrots with ricotta. Everything was incredibly fresh and tasted amazing. Whenever I'm back visiting my parents, La Volata will definitely be on our list. The service is also warm and inviting.
Delicious food, welcoming staff, and exquisite Italian cuisine!
The food was fresh and featured unique, well-thought-out flavor combinations—everything tasted incredibly fresh, from the vegetables to the crust and cheeses. They also have a rotating selection of craft beers, delightful craft cocktails, and desserts that are sure to make you feel spoiled. We noticed a few regulars being greeted by name, which speaks to the attentive service this team provides and the strong sense of community they foster. We chose to sit outside, and even though it was a bit chilly, they quickly turned on the heater to make us cozy. The ambient lighting and music created the perfect atmosphere for our evening. I loved the outdoor tables, which were made from pallets with intriguing knick-knacks covered in epoxy—a great conversation starter! We will definitely be returning and highly recommend that anyone in the area stop by for a visit.
I've always had a fantastic experience at this restaurant in the past, but tonight both pizzas had issues. The crust was overly delicate and veered into being burnt, while the rest of the pizza was soggy and floppy. We tried to salvage the worst of the two, but the remake was only slightly less charred, and overall, it was still poorly baked. Perhaps it cooked too quickly? As a pizza enthusiast, I have to say I was really disappointed compared to my previous visits. Given the price, this quality is unacceptable. I hope this was just a one-time occurrence.
This was my first visit to La Volata Pizzeria while in Palm Springs, and it was fantastic! My friend Lee Burton brought me here, and I was truly impressed. The ambiance and decor are stunning, especially the blue banquette. We enjoyed halibut and chicken rigatoni, both of which were delicious. For dessert, we had crème brûlée topped with a surprising berry compote, as well as what I believe was a chocolate half-freddo served with Chantilly cream. The service was excellent, and the food and bar selection were top-notch. Is this really in Redlands? I can't wait to return!
