We had dinner at the venue. It seemed the service was a bit slow. We ordered our food around 6:10 it came at almost 7 pm that was a bit of a drawback, especially because we were not drinking wine, and only shared a small entree. The mails were delicious and plentiful. I had Coq De Vin which was absolutely fabulous my friend had a beef stew. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Grillade:
we ordered a fillet minion and fillet set, and they came without one, they were not cooked as required, completely seasonal missing. eating is just okay. nothing worth going to dinner, I wouldn't go back or recommend it. the wee was pretty good. View all feedback.
Before even looking at the menu, we enjoyed three delicious gin and tonics and two craft beers. The restaurant allowed us to upgrade to higher priced items on the menu, including wine, by paying the difference, which was great. We also ordered pate (an extra) to enjoy with our drinks, and it was fantastic. For starters, we ordered 12 snails and scallops for an extra $5. Both dishes were amazing. For mains, we had duck and lamb with a side of the most delicious sweet potato wedges we had ever tasted. The green beans in almond butter sauce and steamed carrots were perfect. For dessert, we chose chocolate mousse and creme brulee, both of which were very special. We upgraded our included wine for an extra $5, and it was divine, so we each had an extra glass. We had a truly memorable evening - everything from the food to the service and ambiance was perfect. We never felt rushed and even asked for a 30-minute break after starters, which was no problem. Considering the quality of the experience, the cost was more than reasonable compared to other top eateries in Sydney. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return to try more dishes from the menu.
Excellent coffee!One of the best and lovely service
Ordered their sweet potato wedges, pavlova and an iced lattee. The sweet potato wedges were beautiful and lightly salted to perfection. The pavlova was really nice too and you can tell they make it there or close by. The iced coffee however was pretty warm and bland, not refreshing like i get elsewhere..
Lovely environment with live music, delicious food and friendly service. While the kids liked the food too, it would be great if they had a children’s menu. We’ll be back!
We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Despite being unsure about the location, we had a great evening. The atmosphere was lively, the service from Gita was excellent, and the food was good. We opted for the three-course set menu using a voucher, which turned out to be a good value. We also paid extra for a few items, which was worth it. We will definitely be returning.
