Vaughan’s Tapas Cocktail - Redditch
Vaughan’s Tapas Cocktail
Description
Vaughan's presents a blend of great potential and inconsistency. Patrons relish the diverse menu and fantastic cocktails, particularly enjoying the generous tapas portions and lively atmosphere. However, experiences from the service to food quality can vary dramatically. Some visitors have faced inattentive staff or underwhelming dishes, like uninspired crab sandwiches. Despite these hiccups, many appreciate the vibrant bar scene featuring live music and a friendly vibe, making it an inviting spot. With attentive service and an appealing space, Vaughan’s remains a promising destination for those seeking a lively night out, albeit with a few caveats.

We have visited Vaughan’s a couple of times during the past week – once on a Sunday afternoon to see a live band and then for drinks with friends on a Saturday evening. The live band we saw on the Sunday (Steel Wizard) play there quite regularly and they were very entertaining. The sound quality in the room was surprisingly good and it would be nice to see the live band there on a Saturday evening (instead of a Sunday) so we could really make a night of it. There was a DJ on the Saturday night. On both occasions the bar was very busy with a lively atmosphere and friendly vibe. The staff are very welcoming, the drinks prices are extremely reasonable and they have a huge selection of spirits. We’re looking forward to our next visit as it’s a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy a lively night out.
I went to this restaurant on a Saturday evening and was greeted with stares from the staff as I entered. One barmaid was busy with glasses while the other was stocking the fridge and shelves with bottles. We waited to be served but eventually left without being attended to, deciding to go somewhere else instead.
Visited as was attracted by cocktails, the venue itself doesn’t feel like a restaurant nor a bar so a little odd. Good selection of drinks which are well priced. Would visit again but has now wow factor or cosy atmosphere if you were looking for somewhere nice/special
The restaurant offers a good variety of food options. Sophie makes fantastic cocktails. The staff is friendly, but the atmosphere is a bit odd. It feels like a cafeteria trying to be a fancy restaurant. It's a shame because the food is actually quite good.
