However, I ordered a cod and chips m... read more I ordered cod and chips to be delivered from here a couple of times during the first lockdown last year and they were good. However, I ordered a cod and chips meal last Saturday and it was inedible. The cod, I would debate that it actually was cod, was grey in colour and definitely not fresh, the chips were hard and cold when I received the meal. I telephoned the shop to complain and was told that the meal had been freshly cooked and was perfect when it left there, customer service skills were non-existent, I was told that there was really nothing they could do except perhaps deliver again after 9pm but there were no guarantees that they could do that because they were so busy. I did get a refund from Just East who I had ordered the meal through. This has left a very bad impression and I definitely cannot recommend them, I wish I had looked at the recent reviews before ordering. Perhaps they are under different ownership?

It... read more I ordered food online for pickup from this restaurant today and was shocked to find that none of the staff, including the cooks, were wearing any face masks. It is no surprise that the Coronavirus is spreading so rapidly. I found it disgusting and had to throw away my food as it made me feel sick thinking about what could have been coughed on it.

However, an hour later we called again and were told the food was still on its way. A nice lady called us back, but then a rude person yelled at my girlfriend, causing her to cry. She suffers from anxiety and this behavior was completely unacceptable. The food arrived cold and the service was terrible. I strongly advise against using this restaurant. They are dishonest and rude. Please avoid at all costs.

When I tried calling the shop, they would... read more This chippy is the worst I have ever been to. I would give it 0 stars if I could. It is not even worth bothering with. When I tried calling the shop, they would not answer the phone until the 5th time, and then they would just hang up on me right away. When I finally got through, they were extremely rude on the phone, yelling at me before hanging up again. It was clear that they did not want to take my order. Whether I ordered online or in person, it took forever for my food to arrive and their payment and ordering system was a mess. I was even charged twice for my order and it took 4 days and multiple attempts to get a refund. No one seemed to care about my order or my complaint. I would recommend staying far away from this place. It was absolutely terrible.
