Marie Callender's - Redding

We stopped in Redding on our way home to Fresno just after Christmas, hoping to satisfy a craving for chili and cornbread. My wife and I waited about 10 minutes before being greeted by a server. After placing our order, we waited nearly 20 more minutes for our chili. It wasn't busy at the time, so the slow service was disappointing. I also ordered iced tea and wanted a refill, but we never saw our server again until we had to track her down for the bill. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. Instead of this place, we'll head to Black Bear Diner for a better meal, even though they don't serve chili.

We ordered a pot roast sandwich on sourdough to share, and it had incredible flavor. We enjoyed pie for dessert as well. Everything was delightful!

Sunday Brunch was an unexpected delight and absolutely fantastic! The chef at the omelet station was incredible, and the omelets were delicious. There was an impressive selection of items to choose from, including prime rib, all for just $16 per person—it was definitely worth it. I can’t wait to go back next weekend!
