We booked a table for Sunday lunch while staying at a nearby B&B and were pleasantly surprised. The cozy dining area in the bar was beautifully decorated for Christmas and we received a warm welcome. The portion size of the roast was excellent value for money, although we couldn't finish all the vegetables. It was nice to support a local pub and we would definitely return again. What a lovely find in this little village of Brotton. Called in first time just to break a walk from the Spar to the holiday accommodation. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the pints were very well priced. Booked to return for a meal on the saturday evening with my partner and little chihuahua. Omg I had the 10oz rump steak and I can honestly say it was the best steak I 've ever had. It came with all the trimmings and melted just like butter. It was !!Amazing!! My partner had cajun chicken and I 've never seen as many chicken breasts on one plate. Oh and let me tell you about the chips crispy on the outside fluffy in the middle John and Gregg would be tripping iver themselves to eat them they were excellent. Again the staff were both friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this gem of a find if you 're staying anywhere near Saltburn by the sea.
While we were staying in the area, we happened to come across this pub and we are so glad we did! The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this pub if you are in the area.
We had another wonderful family dinner at this restaurant. We always enjoy coming here. The staff is always friendly, professional, and attentive. Despite booking on short notice, we were served delicious and tasty food without any complaints. The portions are generous and the menu offers a good selection. We highly recommend this place.
Original intention was to go the the Ship in Saltburn, but discovered it was closed for renovations, however, nothing on their sites, including Facebook, not really great for customer service, so carried on driving out of Saltburn and came across this little gem by accident. Board outside stating Sunday Lunch being served 12-3 and an additional board saying card only, no cash (that's a downer), however we stopped, glad we did. Restored bar area, very nicely done, very helpful staff. Dog friendly in the bar (vital for us). We had the lunch, I, I will admit I'm awkward, dont eat meat but not a veggie, just dont want meat, so asked for meat separately for the dogs, it was presented to me in a nice plastic box for them, clean and tidy. The meal itself was very good. Nice vegetables, all well cooked, hot and well presented. Tasty, large, yorkie, plenty of potato's, roasted and mashed, lashings of gravy, served in a separate gravy boat (I hate being skimped on gravy. Dogs finished off the vegetables (not on the plates, I should add for those of delicate disposition. Only slight downer was lack of real ale, but hey ho. you cant have everything. So well worth a visit, a definite when we are next back in the area. Unfortunately, weather was to hot to sit in beer garden, but that looked nice as well
