They were out of several items, very disapp... read more We went in today to eat, as we’ve heard great things. The young man at the counter looks very unhappy to be at work. They were out of several items, very disappointing. We intended to eat there, but our food was brought bagged up to us, so I guess we weren’t suppose to eat inside. We were brought drinks that had no ice. Once I got home, we realized one of our orders was incorrect. I ordered a rib plate and 2 sides, the sides were not correct. The ribs were NOT good. Very dried out, not what’d you expect for a $13 plus dollar plate of food.

I'm a big fan of fried fish and I finally found a place that knows how to season it perfectly and serves huge portions. I also loved the cake, it reminded me of home. The barbecue was delicious as well. It's a shame that the restaurant is currently closed due to a fire, but I hope they will reopen after renovations or find a new location nearby. The customer service was also fantastic.

The chopped brisket... read more Not terrible but just not good for the price you pay I was expecting better meat quality. Especially after reading so many positive reviews. The chopped brisket was very dry and very little cheese and sour cream on the potato. I got a small side ofthe potato salad which was a complete waste of money, it was so nasty. The portion size for the okra was really small. Thesliced turkey was just too salty. The portion size for all the food is huge so when the taste wasn't good it was verydisappointing. The staff was very sweet though so I'm willing to try this place out again. Maybe it was just a bad day for themin the kitchen.
