Country Kitchen - Red Oak

The service was somewhat slow, but acceptable. eating was good, not stellar, but not bad. the parts were big. I would try again.

My wife and I used to love this place, and ate here almost weekly. Over the past year, however, both the service and food quality have declined precipitously. This morning we went in and—after seating ourselves because no waitstaff would acknowledge us—waited over ten minutes before getting a menu. It only went downhill from there. We were obliged to refill our own coffee multiple times. Our waitress responded “I don’t know” to any questions about the menu. Both our orders were wrong—repeatedly. The Mac n cheese (once we finally received it) tasted like someone had spilled soapy water in it. And when paying out, the cashier informed us after running our card that he had forgotten to add our drinks. He therefore handed us an additional $8 ticket for two coffees and an orange juice. We payed and left. We’ll never return.

Very dissapointed as we had picked this place to celebrate my daughter's kinder graduation. The service was minimal and the waitress only brought out some of the food and we had to remind her twice that good was still missing. The food itself was very bad. The French toast had no trace of cinnamon in it leaving it bland. The hash browns tasted of old oil and also very bland. My veggie omelette tasted of old veggies and the coffee was very weak. Tasted like water. The only thing we had that tasted good were the home fried potatoes. Will NOT be back to this place!

Very good diner. A lunch plate with a meat a two vegetables runs about $10. Seemed kinda pricey, until I tasted it. The food is outstanding. You won't be disappointed.

Nice, hearty breakfast for a good price! The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was because it’s a bit older. Could use some renovation and replacement of the floors. But great breakfast spot! I left full and happy!
