Was User at Momo Sushi a mag?
I am a California roll sushi eater so unable to comment on the raw. The platters are a wonderful taste sample and staff are very accommodating and polite. I really enjoy going. Food and service are consistently good. Can be busy. Highly recommend. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Momo Sushi:
I saw the reviews and thought that this should be arranged in my top ten sushi experiences. It was definitely not a top ten experience it was full moderate. The service was fine, the food was fine, the atmosphere was moderate, eating... that was all plastic. So it was really an average to below average experience. I think a big tip that it would only be okay was that the green tea was out of a bag and was simply in a... View all feedback.

Have been here multiple timesGreat lunch! Very very fresh and deliciousWonderful specialty rolls and sashimi. Prices are very reasonable.
I business partner asked me out for Lunch the other day, and he suggested Momo Sushi. I said that I had never tried Sushi but now would be a good time to try some. The view from the restaurant is spectacular over looking the city, at night would even be better. The place is very clean and modern, I guess I expected a fishy smell, but that was not the case. This is a first class establishment, and I am very glad I was open to trying something new... My partner ordered 5 different dishes, I cant remember what all he ordered but everything was awesome. He said he has eaten here a dozen times and has enjoyed every dish they serve. I am a farm boy from Alberta, a steak kid you might say, however I will be coming back here often. It was an amazing meal, a very pleasant surprise indeed. I would recommend to anyone who has yet to try Sushi, this place is the place to go. The staff are very friendly and can help you navigate the menu....
Every once in a while, I'll crave sushi. This is THE place to get it. I've tried many others, but this place is the best. Now if only my girlfriend would eat fish...

Delicious sushi in Red Deer, I am no expert on the subject, but I seriously enjoyed the food. The rolls were a bit large, but they were nonetheless tasty. Delicious!
So, I have only tried it for takeout and have never sat in, as my wife and I enjoy sushi, but our kids do not. <br/ <br/ Momo is the best I have had- and not just in Red Deer. <br/ <br/ Positive:<br/ The food looked very beautiful. Time was spent to make sure that even takeout orders look fresh and fun. The specialty rolls and the tempura were excellent. The dynamite roll was our favourite, besides the tempura- have I mentioned the excellent tempura? It was crispy and light. Even the small things were done right: good wasabi, and the pickled ginger is a good one, I think its a commercial brand, but its a good choice. Everything was fresh and was waiting for me at the appropriate time.<br/ <br/ Negative:<br/ Not a lot of negative feedback, but the cost of sushi would be my one concern. They aren't alone here and maybe its just a geographic difficulty- Central Alberta is not exactly crawling with tuna, but this is a reasonable if not a fair price. On that note: I didn't like the thickness of the sashimi. The salmon and tuna were cut too thick. They were perfectly cut, but just too thick for me. Maybe a thinner cut would yield better mouth feel and taste, as well as affect a change in price as you could charge less for thinner sashimi. All in all: very good.<br/ <br/ Recommendations:<br/ TEMPURA! Excellent. The miso wasn't bad either and their salad dressing has a pleasant sweetness. They have a sushi platter that is very reasonably priced, but my wife and I didn't care for the BC roll, get a double dynamite roll, or other substitution. Don't shy from the combo plates as they give you a chance to try a few things, but you wont get change from a $20 back...
Stopped by red deer for some sushi, parking is convenient. Came here on a weekday around 7, parking was free so it was a plus. The decor is very Japanese, quite weird how the room is split into two sides. Ordered different rolls seafood pancake. The seafood pancake is HUGE.
They have expanded the size of this restaurant. I wish they would have some matching chairs and improve the ambiance a bit. The food is good. In fact some of the rolls are almost too big to eat.
Never had a bad experience coming here. Always great food and good service whether it's take out or eat in. Lots of veggie options which I appreciate and the prices are great value, especially compared to the other places in town.

I can’t say anything about the atmosphere as I ordered from skip but the food was amazing delicious, fresh fast and formidable. Really competitive prices for some bomb products I can’t say enough how awesome this place is. I’m proud that this establishment is part of our neighbourhood .
Super friendly. Owner came and chatted with us for a minute. Delicious food. Fresh ingredients. No one rushing us to get out once we finished. 10/10
The best sushi place in Alberta hands down, I was given a full bowl of extra sushi with my order, I mean who does that if not an amazing team. God bless this business, thank u so much. I'm addicted to monkey brain for sure.
I’m sorry but all I can say is that I usually eat at Sushi Ta Ke and I just thought I’d try something new because this place had good stars. However, I just purchased from Momo and it does not even compare in quality. $50 meal went in the garbage. You know when you get your take out food and you’re so excited? But then you take a bite and start to realize something is off. Like what is wrong with this? You try to like it because you waited for it and paid extra for delivery. Then you start to say ew why does it look like this and ew why does it taste like this? And then completely lose your appetite. That’s what just happened.Maybe I wouldn’t have realized that it was so bad if I hadn’t of experienced Sushi Ta Ke and had no sense of taste but unfortunately I did and I do.Not fresh, horrible taste and not to be dramatic but I have a feeling I’m going to get sick from it. Rolls fell apart and wasabi was horseradish(which i have learned is just a cheap way to make wasabi)!? And the mango was not fresh but thawed frozen mango…mushy wet and slimy.Gyoza, rolls, and wasabi are fresh, tasty and consistent at Sushi Ta Ke.Already feel my stomach turning, just so disappointed to waste money like that.
This place is definitely a hidden gem in red deer! Hands down the best sushi I have had in a long time, service was spectacular and the mellow atmosphere and great food topped it off! Was not disappointed with anything. Me and my family will be going back, I highly recommend, and believe me, I know good sushi! Great job from the server to the chef
