My wife and I stopped for dinner, she had fajitas and I had the enchiladas, you can get one beef and one chicken if you want to mix it up. All the food is homemade and was very good. Looks like a family run business, definitely worth a stop View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Las Palmeras Family Restaurant:
You could call this American/Mexican food. My wife and I live part time in Mexico. I joked to her after that at least the music was Mexican. Thought about having Enchiladas (My favorite) but made with cheddar cheese and sour cream at 17.50$.. no thank you. The salsa was basic from a jar style. The quesadilla was cheddar cheese' flour tortilla and chicken, no onion peppers etc..and small. Wife had Flautas only ate two... View all feedback.
We went here for lunch recently from work. There were 8 of us. Unfortunately there was only one server but she did her utmost to please us with her service. As always the salsa was delicious in that it is home made and oh so fresh. Complimentary chips and salsa come with every meal. The flautas were hot and delicious. We all enjoyed our meals. They were hot and fresh and most came with beans and rice. The highlight of the meal was the sampling of the fried ice cream, flan and an ice cream. Each were delicious and were well portioned. We have been going to this restaurant for almost 20 years and each visit is good and leaves us wanting more.
This is high on my list of favorites in Red Deer. I visit every chance I get when time allows. So far I've never been disappointed and so I'm very happy to recommend this spot for others. My only disappointment is that I don't have pictures to share.
This locally-owned restaurant has been in Red Deer for years. I eat here about 3 or 4 times a year, mostly when meeting friends for lunch or dinner. When I used to book special occasion lunches for staff, we ate here as well. They were able to easily handle a crowd of 20-25 people. The quality of food and customer service has always been consistent, with large quantities and something for everyone on their menu. Love their homemade salsa. Almost every meal will come with rice and re-fried beans, and soft, handmade, corn tortillas. I noticed some negative reviews, but I've never had a problem with anything. Love their food, the vibe, the customer service. The restaurant is always clean. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you want to support local and try something different from the usual chain and fast-food places.
We showed up on a Saturday night. All the tables were full! The staff were excellent, and the variety of food and flavours great as well. Definitely will find myself there when I'm back in Red Deer.
