The food was decent and the view was fantastic. However, the dining room felt like it was a secondary space reserved for weddings. During our meal, our server informed us that she was being reassigned to a gathering at the hotel, which turned out to be a wedding reception. It was clear that the hotel and its events took precedence over the restaurant at this establishment. View all feedback.

Eating is very good, not great? service is great. the overcharge for alcohol is obscene and offensive for people who know how much dinge cost. wood grilled.
First I have to say I hate to write a mediocre review for nicholas barrell roost, as our family has since come to the original nikolaus.
Food was great. The portions were generous. Our waitress was also the bar tender so the drinks were also very good. Now the view of the Navesink river was absolutely amazing. There was a point near dusk the all the homes on the red Bank water front looked like an amazing painting. I would highly recommend going either for a beautiful view and a drink or an outstanding dinner. This is a must go to place.
I could have not ask for more. Friendly staff and the food was so delicious. This was my first time trying this place and I will definitely come back. I sat outdoors which it had a beautiful view. So calm and quiet yet entertaining.
