Everything was delicious! I really love that they provide fried noodles with duck sauce. If I had to mention any 'complaint,' it would be that my dish (General Tso's chicken) could have been a bit spicier, but it was still absolutely delicious. I will definitely be returning soon! What Sara G doesn't like about House Of Chong:
Everything was rather uninspired. The Fried Pork Dumplings (#11) were overly doughy, and the filling lacked any seasoning. The Twice Cooked Pork (#96a) contained very little actual pork. The Scallion Pancake (#24) was acceptable as long as it was soaked in soy sauce, while the Chicken with Black Bean Sauce (#45) was the best dish among them. View all feedback.
I live in Manhattan near Chinatown I am 64 years old. Is the House of Chung is better than any restaurant in Chinatown or in Manhattan. My wife and I drive out there as much as we can. The food is phenomenal Daniel the owner and the service absolutely phenomenal
A quart of Chicken W/ Broccoli aka 80/20 brocoli to chicken. Since when can a quart of chicken and broccoli not even feed 2 people? For $16 there should be more than 7 pieces of chicken
So disappointed just got ripped off at House of Chong so bad, we wanted to try a new place my sweet and sour chicken (only a few pieces of chicken in my combo mostly rice) is so over cooked it’s inedible. I called to ask for a replacement or refund and they refused to help. Now I’m out dinner and the money.
My favorite place for Chinese food! Everything is always incredibly fresh, and the menu offers a fantastic variety. The pork buns and dumplings are the best I've ever tasted!
This is one of my favorite places, but tonight the wonton soup was overly salty, the pork with vegetables in garlic sauce was bland, and while the BBQ ribs were very tender, they lacked flavor. Hopefully, this was just an off night.
