Great food and great service Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We docked there in the harbor and spent two nights in the boat. In the morning we had breakfast at the buffet. Everything you could want for breakfast was there. Nicely presented, very nice, hard-working staff. But a table should be reserved in advance. Very good Ambiance, clean toilet and shower rooms, with extras. This place is highly recommended for staying. The facilities, very well maintained both inside and out. Family business run with love. TOP!
Update: 2 evenings later when we made our reservation (Thursday), it was no longer so full of guests, it wasn't so hot outside and the service was much more relaxed and super friendly. So it was fun to eat there too. However, for dinner the menu is very small, 5 or 6 main courses, so I would have liked more choice. The meal was okay. First review: This evening (Monday) seemed to be hectic. The (blonde) waitress was rushing around covered in sweat. At 28 degrees that's understandable. We are guests of the house's holiday apartment and have just arrived. The restaurant right in front of the door is therefore ideal. When I asked if there was still a table available for three people, all I got was a snappy “looks bad” as I walked past. Not particularly friendly. Although we are house guests and saw that tables were still empty. Well. Then we wanted to make a reservation, it's only open in the evenings on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays and Mondays. That means not eating in the in-house restaurant for 3 days, always looking for something out or shopping yourself. OK. The in-house restaurant was advertised so well on the internet: breakfast, lunch and dinner. We're on vacation and for once didn't want to cook or drive so far out to eat. There aren't that many options other than a kebab shop around the corner here in Rechlin. The waitress in question spoke to an older colleague in front of waiting guests in a not so pleasant tone. You don't do that either. The guests at the tables followed her with incredulous looks as she ran past to bring food to the roof terrace. Good, I thought. Stress. It's nothing new in the holiday resort or in the catering industry. But as a guest you get a guilty conscience if you want to eat there and thus create even more work for the staff. We want to relax here and, despite everything, we would like to be more friendly towards our guests and within our own team. Then everyone is surprised when people quit or become mentally ill because of such great colleagues. I felt sorry for the young girl behind the counter. She hasn't said anything else, probably to avoid getting any snippy answers from her. By the way, the reservation was also too much, looks sometimes say more than a thousand words. It's a real shame, I don't feel like going there anymore
