We have eaten at Les Secret Gourmands on three occasions in the past 18 months and, on each occasion, both the service and the food have been excellent. Realmont is 20 mins south of Albi (and 15 mins from Lautrec) and the restaurant is owned View all feedback.
I ordered for 11 people on Christmas Eve, the order was scrupulously respected after several telephone exchanges and by pros and cordial mails. The dishes and desserts were really good and hearty, I highly recommend!
My wife and I tried lunch here today but came away slightly disappointed for several reasons. The lack of customers and poor weather cool, cloudy) made our outside dining less than exciting. This may not be the fault of the restaurant of course, but the quality of the food definitely is. We tried 2 different 4 course menus and could see that the cooking is ambitious but somehow only half of the dishes really hit the mark for us. Highlights were the desserts lovely) and mignardises which came with the coffee. But my lotte starter was cold and a bit insipid and my wife's soup was also too cold and underseasoned. Her pork was excellent, my mullet was nice but the calamari with it was rubbery..... And my medium rare steak was overcooked for my taste. The bill was €100 including a good bottle of local white wine. Service was good as it should have been with only 3 tables occupied.
We had an amazing meal at Les Secrets Gourmands today. It was completely worth the detour to Realmont for such fantastic fare. We ordered the €23 three-course menu which was delectable. We expected three courses, as is the case with other good restaurants, but were presented with an amuse bouche AND a palate cleanser before our starter. Our coffees were accompanied by four perfectly prepared and presented Mignardises (four small sweet items) The food is so good that I 'm surprised more people weren 't there. The price might be a bt off-putting if you just look at the price but it 's so much more than just three courses. The terrace is lovely and calm, the service is efficient and friendly and the food is cooked brilliantly, with excellent ingredients plus the three extras. I look forward to my next visit to Realmont; because this is the best reason for visiting the town in my opinion! It comes as no surprise to see that this restaurant has two 'forks ' from Michelin. Excellent cuisine. Successful agreements. We have never been disappointed in the years that we have been customers. What's more, the owners are charming
