Giovanna's Pizza - Reading

The pizza and Stromboli here are really excellent, and the menu prices are quite reasonable overall. The sandwiches are decent, but the cheesesteaks leave much to be desired. I've never encountered a place that serves cheesesteaks without melting the cheese with the meat; instead, they come on soggy rolls with partially melted cheese sitting on top. I’ll definitely keep returning for the pizza and Stromboli, but sadly, I can’t recommend anything else.

I placed a large order with this restaurant and accidentally contacted the wrong Giovanni's, but it all turned out fine. The owner was wonderful, and the food was fantastic. Thank you!

I would advise against visiting this restaurant if you're looking for good service and a clean kitchen. I noticed mold in the bathroom, which is concerning. The two gentlemen working behind the counter were inexplicably disrespectful and rude. Unfortunately, the pizza was disappointing—flavorless, dry, and bland. It certainly isn't worth risking foodborne illness! Additionally, the women's restroom had a toilet seat with crystallized urine on it. Overall, this place needs to address its health and cleanliness standards.

The elderly man is a little rude. You seem to prefer regular what you should try to win as many as you can. Our white? Cheesesteak was just okay... I had better worse. Prices were like $3-4 more than listed in the menu. But that's life!

Personally I think their pizza is the best in the area. I used to swear by Brunos but found myself switching to Giovannas Nice selection of beers, great sandwiches and everything is always hot I have to say that I moved out of the area in 2015 and he actually remembered me from 2015 which was impressive considering how many customers they have Only issue at times is pickup as they are busy and your order might not be ready in the designated time. That said you can order a draft beer and play some machines while waiting
