The waitress mentioned that their shrimp and grits are ranked the 8th best in the state according to a website that lists the top 10 restaurants, though I can't recall the specific site. Both my wife and I decided to try the shrimp and grits, and they certainly lived up to their reputation. The dish was fresh, served hot, and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were quite generous for the price. While the meal was a bit more expensive than what I usually spend for lunch, the quality made it feel worthwhile. The menu features a good variety, including a small buffet, salads, sandwiches, and burgers. Located in downtown Rayville, the restaurant was nearly empty since we arrived shortly after lunchtime. We received excellent service, and our waitress was very friendly. I would definitely consider returning on my next trip to Rayville.
