A fascinating rustic, cozy and wholesome atmosphere, be sure to ask about the garden. The food is amazing and very affordable with lots of veggie and vegan options too. And take your date/partner ; View all feedback.
What Ivan Cisneros doesn't like about Baldovino Enoteca E Cucina:
cute little bar, especially pleasant in the summer thanks to its pretty little garden. The boss and waitresses are very kind. We went to celebrate a birthday and we were left at the bar after 11:00. We talked a little with the boss. there is a long list of spritz to all tastes for 5€. I recommend! View all feedback.
We happened across this restaurant down a side street soon after getting to Ravenna. It is owned and operated by a couple who clearly care about every aspect of their food and atmosphere. We were delighted with everything. The service was careful, frendly and efficient. The wine list is extensive and we had a wonderful bottle of local wine at an affordable price. The atmosphere is lovely rustic and lined with coffee table books. There is good music but also the place is conversation friendly. The food, starting with the bread and ending with homemade very fresh tiramisu was excellent. All for a very good value. Highly recommended.
PK and I chose to visit this restaurant based on the proximity to our hotel as well as the reviews. While at the moment the number of reviews are small, they are all positive and we can only agree, this little restaurant, is fantastic! Situated on a quiet street, close to the historic centre the restaurant has a chilled, relaxed atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. The interior is of a rustic style, with an impressive collection of ‘coffee table’ books (film, art, cinema) on display and for guests to look at while dining. While chilled/lounge/Jazz music plays in the background Giovanni and wife (aka chef) Marcia are on hand to provide recommendations for food and wine, as well as serving and preparing the food! Marcia is from Venice so the food is of a Venetian Style and oh, so delicious! We didn’t bother with a wine list, trusting Giovanni’s recommendations and we were rewarded with a lovely white wine to accompany our meal. This husband and wife team are clearly passionate about what they are doing and deserve to succeed. We hope to see that when we return to Ravenna we will need to book days in advance!
We found this place on Trip Advisor and realised it was only 10 mins from our hotel, in a back street. We got a friendly welcome not over the top and decided to sit in the little garden at the back. We couldn 't have had better service, perhaps helped by the fact that they were quiet the evening we were there (apparently the locals had gone to the beach after a long period of bad weather). The menu is highly personal and everything we had was excellent, with local wines at good prices and even an 'artiginale ' local beer (which was great). The place has a nice, local vibe. Exactly what we wanted. Price for two courses with wine/beer/water and a rounded up service worked out at €25 each.
Divine baldwin, super welcome, excellent aperitifs, very nice local!
We recently spent a few days in Ravenna and most nights went to Baldovino for an aperitif; the owners were very hospitable and provide a welcoming ambience with some excellent choice of drinks, some snacks and cool music. The bar is a very relaxing place with seating outside, inside and in a garden at the back. We can highly recommend the Albana secco and the red beer, but don't forget to leave a Euro for the cats...
