Gaststatte Dorfstuberl - Raubling

Of course there are many traffic jams on the highway, so our Satnav gave us directions to a side route. Filled the gas tank at the Aral petrol station when we discovered this local restaurant on the opposite side of the road. The terrace is used for smoking, but decided to stay on the terrace anyway. It wasn't a problem because of a little breeze. The food, especially the curry, was delicious. The Cola with beer comb was also new, but delicious. We thought that German cosiness was gone, but it rediscovered in this restaurant. On the way back we tried to stop here again, but unfortunately it was closed. We'll try the next time!

On the way from Salzburg to Hohenschwangau we stopped for dinner in this restaurant. Nice little restaurant on the main street south of Rosenheim. The restaurant was empty except for a group of locals sitting outside and having beer. Perfect for our family dinner with my two granddaughters. The lady who leads the place was very nice and gracious. She understood that the girls were tired and went out of their way to make us welcome. Food was great and service was better than expected. When my son-in-law asked if he could buy some beer glasses, the lady came to the table with two litter beer glasses and gave them to him as a gift! Nice touch. If you are traveling in southern Germany and are hungry, stop by. It won't disappoint!

The staff did not speak English, but was kind and patient when we decided to order what. My wife got a healthy salad and soup, while the children and I ordered standard German specialties and main courses that are delicious and fill. In view of the unplanned decision to find a restaurant, we were lucky to find the village surplus with its keyless atmosphere, the herd of local diners, and the mix of comfort and healthier options.
