What WJMcCr8 dislikes about An Stad:
An Stad is a charming vegetarian café in Rathmullan offering a concise menu of good-quality dishes. Over the years, the menu has evolved, though I feel it’s lost some standout items from before, particularly the omelette. The owner is warm and inviting, and a refreshed menu would make the place even more appealing. View all feedback.

The restaurant staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The decor is unique and charming. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, with a good selection of vegan options. I will definitely be returning. The vegetarian options include a platter of hummus, tapenade, and tasty bread. The staff is very knowledgeable about dietary restrictions. Parking is easy, and the restaurant offers options for children. Overall, a great place to dine in for a brunch meal.

We stopped at this lovely spot on our little road trip around the Atlantic way, it was a brilliant find. It looked so interesting from outside. The purple building with the craft stall, and sign with frieda kahla. We had two dogs with us and we were allowed to sit outside with them. We were welcomed by the lovely owner, who promptly told us there were fresh scones out of the oven and she had made apple and plum cake fresh that day. We were surprised the menu was vegetarian, but it was not a problem. The food was absolutely delicious!! I got the cheese and onion panini and it had mustard and relish and was so delicious. The cake was phenomenal! I also had a mocha. And it was the best I’d had this whole week! The stall out the front sells the owners crafts, there is lovely adult and children’s clothes. I got a dress for my niece and an apron for myself. I can’t wait to go back on our yearly visit to Downings!
