The location is a dream as they are located directly in the park. Eating is not so intoxicating. cakes and sticks, on the other side, are upstairs. as caffeine highly recommended as eselocal ehr not so the hit.
Simple menu but good food. The restaurantbuilding was very special on the foot of a huge tower. Hospitable reception and service. Very unique garden with historical buildings.
My wife and I visited the Pagodenburg after a trip to the nearby shopping centre. The lady who served us made us feel welcome, and took the time to explain the various dishes on the menu. A very enjoyable meal in relaxing surroundings and will...definitely return if we are in this part of Germany again.
We were confused to find a place to eat. Pizzeria, I said no ... My husband didn't like to taste Asian food. Our kids preffered Mc Donald. We got a headache; people, Stomachs. Finally, I saw again the pagoda when driving around. I...asked my husband to stop to choose this restaurant. The garden, the pagoda, the statue ... They are sooo beautiful. A great view to see from the street and through the pagoda's window we could see the beautiful church. Our Kids were happy to play in the playground behind pagoda. Oh. We chose a menu called Hochszeit ...mit Nudel. It was yummy, and the beef meat was so soft. My teeth were safe. Just the portion was too big for me as an Asian. My husband drank Franziskaner beer, his fave beer and we, three loved the mango juice! The price is German standard.
The food was excellent and plentiful. So plentiful that I couldn't even think of dessert. I had cream of asparagus soup (it was asparagus season) and pork stuffed with ham and cheese with spaetzle. The food could not have been better!!! There is a lovely...patio where you can enjoy a drink before dinner. One thing to note, is that the staff speak minimal English. But for one of my group speaking German, we would have struggled a bit to understand the menu which is only in german.
