The Winekitchen - Rapaura
The Winekitchen
Description
Set in a rustic garden with ample free parking, this rural lunch spot highlights fresh, carefully prepared dishes—think tuna sashimi, saffron risotto and burrata-tomato—paired with an adventurous wine list. Service is generally friendly and accommodating to families, though guests report occasional slow service, inconsistent seasoning and a curt response to feedback. Practical drawbacks include a long gravel drive and intermittent coffee service; overall it’s a charming, relaxed place for lunch with standout plates and room for polish.

Was a pleasure eating out with friends and the food and staff were fantastic Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Great spot for lunch. The lady had the pork entree and was blown away. I had steak, slightly under seasoned but still really good. Staff were great. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Best restaurant in Marlborough, great chef, good wines, friendly service, decent prices and very nice location. What more could you want?! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The food was very good, especially the tomato salad with burrata. It was served quickly too. The staff was very friendly and attentive. And the atmosphere is also great and relaxing.
Shortage of staff is impacting on the hospitality sector. Enjoyed the food and the garden setting was perfect on a hot day. The coffee machine had broken down which was disappointing. Overall a nice place to enjoy lunch Parking: Disabled parking spaces x 2 available (notice advising) and free parking beside the restaurant. (in a rural setting) Service: Dine in
