San Giorgio E Il Drago - RANDAZZO

Excellent food and service. Almost worth visiting Randazzo to eat there. Food was local and prepared excellently. Service impeccable and quite fast. I especially liked the home made pasta with funghi (mushrooms)! Definitely on my list.

This restaurant held such promise but sadly did not deliver. The menu, which was small anyway, had several items crossed out and told us the items weren’t available. However neighbouring tables were openly being served the very items that were not available (people that arrived after us so it wasn’t that they had run out prior to our arrival) . Regulars and friends obviously get priority. The food lacked seasoning and was Luke warm. Meats were very fatty and tasteless. Staff were polite but desperately slow. In total we waited over an hour for the antipasti to arrive. First courses were then served the same time as the main courses. All in all a big disappointment. I won’t return .

A bit difficult to find, but worth the effort. Abuts the end of small street and thus away from whatever hubbub there may be in Randazzo. Bruscetta without parallel in my 25 trips to Italy. Osso buco tender and flavorful. They are a bit high in wine prices.

Our dinner was great! fresh pasta, ravioli, wein. kevin was an excellent waiter and everything was perfect. we visited here 3 years ago and wish it was open on Tuesday so we could return.
