Casa Merlino - RANDAZZO

Pleasant stroll through the olive groves followed by a cooking experience that was second to none. Mauro and Maria made this experience all the more unforgettable. The tastings of the olive oil were exceptional, showcasing the local unique olive varieties. We then eat what we had prepared during our cookery experience. The entire experience at Casa Merlino was utterly special from start to finish and we would love to return and would highly recommend it.

We visited Casa Merlino for our first ever olive oil tasting and it exceeded our expectations! What a wonderful experience it was. Delicious oils, magnificently scented body and facial products and the lunch was outstanding! We arrived a bit earlier than expected but were greeted a warm welcome by Mauro who showed us around the estate providing us with thorough and enthusiastic information about the history, the area, the trees, the production and process and the final products. We had an absolutely lovely tour, tasting and lunch at Casa Merlino and the experience was absolutely lovely! Would definitely recommend a visit!

I had a cooking class with my best friend here in Casa Merlino. We used the local ingredients and Merlino olive oil for the cooking. Also we picked the home grown herbs from their garden. Caponata and green veg and pumpkin lasagna came out with excellent taste thanks to Chef Martina and Tina ; and we had the fun lunch together with them with Etna red wine. We came here for olive tastings and a pasta cooking class, had so much fun with the family! Chef Martina made it so easy for us, a real hands on cooking experience we started from dough making to sauce preparation too, the whole time we had Dario staying with us for photo taking and chatting as well! Fantastic products they have at the shop, too bad we don’t enough space in luggage anymore...

I’ve spend 2 days in the area of randazzo and I had the luck to hear about an event in this spectacular venue, it was a sort of music/food event. Not sure what I did like more , whether the genuine and tasty food arranged by a group of local housewives or the peaceful location where the live music, in local language, was perfectly blended in the late August atmosphere of Etna. I visited again the venue the following day . This superb place can also offer degustation of food wine and the olive oil DOP made by the owners with the olives collected in their property. The location is elegant and perfect for event of any kind, including cerimonie a, party, wedding OR simply for surprising friend with a great discover. I can not recommend it enough. Rino
